社团宗旨：

作为非营利组织“Math Matters”的中国分支机构，“Firestar Club”是一个以华南师范大学附属中学（HFI）国际部为基地的志愿者教学团体。该组织致力于为偏远地区的小学生提供高质量、持续的在线教学支持。自成立以来，“Firestar Club”每年均被评为“优秀社团”。成员们每周通过在线平台与学生互动并进行教学，主要侧重于数学领域。通过将系统化教学与生动有趣的拓展活动相结合，该社团致力于弥合因教育资源获取不平等而造成的差距。我们相信，哪怕是一堂简单的课，也能成为孩子们连接更广阔世界的起点。
除了教学之外，“数学很重要”中国分部的领导层还开设了引人入胜且发人深省的通识教育课程。这些课程借鉴人文和社会科学的视角，旨在帮助学生建立对社会、自我及未来的初步理解。课程主题包括性别研究和自我认同等模块。课程采用轻松的授课形式，旨在减轻压力、激发好奇心，并鼓励学生以更开放、更独立的方式成长。
正如俗语所说：“一粒火种，可燃起大草原之火。”通过每一堂课和每一段相伴时光，我们希望为孩子们照亮前路。As the China branch of the nonprofit organization Math Matters, Firestar Club is a volunteer teaching society based in the International Department of the Affiliated High School of South China Normal University (HFI). It is dedicated to providing high-quality, continuous online teaching support for elementary school students in remote areas. Since its founding, Firestar Club has been recognized each year as an “Outstanding Club.” Members interact with and teach students weekly through online platforms, focusing primarily on mathematics. By combining systematic instruction with engaging extensions, the club seeks to help bridge the gap caused by unequal access to educational resources. We believe that even a single simple lesson can serve as a starting point for children to connect with a larger world.
Beyond teaching, the leadership of Math Matters China branch has also introduced engaging and thought-provoking general education courses. Drawing on perspectives from the humanities and social sciences, these courses aim to help students build a basic understanding of society, self, and the future. Topics include modules such as gender studies and self-identity. Delivered in a relaxed format, the courses are designed to reduce stress, spark curiosity, and encourage students to grow in a more open and independent way.
As the saying goes, “A single spark can start a prairie fire.” Through each lesson and every moment of companionship, we hope to light the way for children, planting seeds of confidence and hope in their hearts.

26-27活动计划：

As the student-led volunteer teaching club at HFI simultaneously, Firestar Club is dedicated to providing sustainable online courses for elementary schools in mountainous areas, hoping to help children see a broader future through education. We primarily offer math courses for fifth and sixth graders—one 55-minute Olympiad math class each week to help them solidify their foundation and enhance their test-taking abilities during the transition to middle school, thereby increasing their opportunities to enter better schools. Additionally, we provide two 45-minute fun math classes each week, allowing them to discover the joy of thinking in a relaxed atmosphere.In addition, during summer break, Firestar Club members will visit partner schools in person, bringing warmth and support face-to-face. 作为HFI学生主导的志愿教学俱乐部，Firestar Club致力于为山区小学提供可持续的在线课程，希望通过教育帮助孩子们看到更广阔的未来。我们主要为五、六年级学生开设数学课程——每周一节55分钟的奥数课，帮助他们在升入初中期间巩固基础、提升应试能力，从而增加进入更好学校的机会。此外，我们每周还提供两节45分钟的趣味数学课，让他们在轻松的氛围中发现思考的乐趣。
此外，暑假期间，“Firestar Club”的成员将亲自前往合作学校，面对面地传递温暖与支持。

1、2018年6月13日。社员们到清远高田学校与结对学生进行见面交流活动，详情见公众微信号《同读一本书之见面交流》。

2、2018年9月3号：社团招新，详见公众微信号《Spark社招新啦/“点点星火 也有微光”》

3、2018年9月17号，确定了新社员名单，并与高田学校的老师确定了新一批读书社的学生名单。

4、2018年 9月24日，101教室，全体社员商量确定同读书单、准备寄送书籍。

5、2018年 9月29日，高田学校读书社的学生收到了我们寄送的书籍，

详情见公众微信号《同读进行时/新一批书籍到达孩子们手上了》，我们希望通过一起阅读，带动山区的学生能读到更多的好书。

6、2018年11月，在华附初中语文老师的支持下，我们收集了部分华附初中学生的读书手抄报，在清远高田学校举办了华附学生读书手抄报展示。

7、2018年12月3日，101教室，将高田学校学生们的来信分发到每个社员手上，商量回信事宜及要求。

8、2018年12月29日，每位社员写好了回信，集中统一寄给了高田学校的结对学生。同一本书，不同的感悟，通过交流，高田学生在成长，我们也在成长。详情见微信公众号《Spark社简讯/鸿雁往来交流欢》

9、2019年 3月11日，101教室，全体社员商量确定新一学期的同读书单、准备寄送书籍。

10、2019年 3月26日，高田学校读书社的学生收到了我们寄送的书籍，详情见公众微信号《Spark社简讯/同读正当时》

11、2019年5月20日101教室，将高田学校学生们的来信分发到每个社员手上，全体社员商量回信事宜及要求。

2017-2018学年活动：

1、9月份协助清远山区的高田中学成立了读书社，捐赠了第一批同读书籍。（详情见SPARK社公众号文章《送去的不只是书籍，更是一种带动》）

2、10月份，每个社员和自己结对的高田学生互通了信件，交流了感情。（详情见SPARK社公众号文章《同读一本书︱交流，从互通信件开始》）

3、11月份，清远高田中学读书社的学生读完了第一批同读书籍，寄来了读后感，我们每个社员收到了自己结对学生的来信，正准备回信进行阅读交流。Students in GaoTian  have read the first batch of books and sending them to the reader, each of us received a letter from our students and was preparing to return to the reading exchange.

在华附本部语文老师的支持下，收集到了部分华附学生的优秀读书手抄报。Under the help of teachers in HF, we have collected some excellent students’ reading posters.
